THE FEEL

The main road through Creve Coeur, Olive Boulevard, sees a lot of traffic as St. Louis area residents make their way to the various shops and offices. But veer from the road a bit and you’ll find a variety of cozy homes. Fun fact: some of the earliest city ordinances regarding swimming pools and water drainage were pioneered in Olivette.

HISTORY

Olive Boulevard, the main road through Olivette, used to be an old Indian trail and then a settlers’ trail linking the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Formed in 1930 by combining the communities of Central, Olive, Stratmann, and Tower Hill, what is now Olivette was the “halfway” point on this trail.

Hall of Famer Lou Brock and former Cardinal broadcaster Jay Randolph both called Olivette home.

ACCESSIBILITY

Olivette has easy access to Highway 170, and thus the airport, as well as Olive Boulevard.

CULTURE

Olivette’s Stacy Park is host to a June celebration, Summerfest, and the popular Summer Band Concerts Series that takes place over the summer months.

ENTERTAINMENT

From line dancing to movies in the park, there are several locations to have fun in Olivette.  Stay up to date with Olivette events on their community page.

SCHOOLS

The Ladue School District serves all of Olivette.  Private schools located within the city include Logos High School, Epstein Hebrew Academy, and Immanuel Lutheran School.
